The Beam In Your Eyes

We often find a way to excuse ourselves for inadequacies and find something bad to say about others. But for every mote in the eyes of others, there is a beam in ours.
The Pharisees in the days of Jesus Christ exhibited a holier than thou attitude publicly but it was found out that they indulged in what they condemn others for.
If we are to be the true image of our heavenly father, we must turn away from such attitude and follow the express command of God in Luke 6:37
'Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive,a dn ye shall be forgiven'.
There we find 3 Great Steps To Acceptable Lifestyle. It is what God espects us to do. If we obey, we reap the reward.
Instead of finding faults in others, we should first deal with our own faults and live by example. That's the best way to live.

The 3 acceptable lifestyle commanded by Christ are:
1. Condemn Not: If you condemn others of stealing, don't you steal? If you condemn others of adultery don't you commit sacriledge? If you condemn others of corruption are you clean? Search your conscience and see to it that you are not quick in condemning others. Look first at the beam in your own eyes.

2. Judge Not: The tongue is a master and judging others. You must bridle your own tongue so as not to push you into this sin. You are not the lawgiver, God is. He is the judge who will judge both the dead and living. 'There is one lawgiver who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another? (James 4:12)
Have you now see the reason why you are not qualified to judge others?

3. Forgive: This is a difficult lifestyle for many. Find a place in your heart to easily forgive your offenders so you too can be forgiven. It is a way to position yourself to receive forgiveness from God. The Lord's prayer says 'Forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us'. Sow forgiveness into other people's lives and you too shall receive forgiveness from God. It is a quick way to heal our hurt and heart.

If you judge not, condemn not and forgive, your life will be better and others will see good example to emulate in you.

To tell you the truth I have enough of my own faults to point the finger at others. These are very important points that you have outlined. Something that we all need to be reminded of from time to time when we begin to feel like we have "arrived!"

Thanks Nicole, your comment is a great encouragement for the continuous existence of this blog. I had thought no one is interested in the posts on this blog any longer. Comments from individuals like you have been the tonic and motivation for more posts. Keep reading and spread the word.
Because Christ is our perfect example, it is compelling that we keep looking to him as the author and finisher of our faith so that we can one day become a partaker of his perfect image. The more we know about him, the more of him we'll want to become.
You are Wonderfully Blessed.
