Not Ourselves But Christ

'For we preach not ourselves but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake'.

The vintage Apostle Paul making the Corinthian brethren to understand the essence of the Gospel and the atoning sacrifice of Christ.
In this Easter season, what are we to do the best? It is time to speak more about Christ to the world, write more about Christ so that more people could read about his atoning sacrifice and show by example the work of his grace in your life.

Putting ourselves in front and relegating the Lord's saving grace to the background is certainly not the will of God for us. This is the time for more souls to be won for Christ.

Preach the word in season and out of season. Be ready to be a servant for the sake of Christ so that unsaved church goers could believe through your example. Remember that you are the book being read by the world as an ambassador of Christ.

As we remember the last supper, let us re-ignite our passion for Christ.

Absolute Dependence On The Word Of God

'Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right and I hate every false way'.

Man is naturally amenable to deceit. It is more convenient to follow our own ways than to do the will of God. The psalmist leads us on how to fruitfully use the word of God.
What is your view about creation? Do you beleive that it is the work of God? So many people who call themselves atheists never believe that.
Christ offer himself as the supreme sacrifice for our sins. He paid the price so that we can be reconciled with God and become transformed into the kingdom of light. Anyone that believe this concept shall be saved. Whosoever fail to believe it is condemned already.
Absolute believe in the word of God is vital for life's success. You should believe in the grace of God and Holy Spirit power. Taking some part of the word of God and leaving the others cannot benefit us on the long term. All scriptures is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable unto righteousness, doctrine and holy living.

The word of God should be applied to every areas of our lives. That is the empasy of the psalmist in the above scripture. In your relationship with others, consider the principles in Roman chapter 12. It is the perfect way to influence others positively.
In your marital relationship, consider the word of God in Ephesians chapter 5. You can never miss it because your home shall be full of bliss.
What is the secret to life's success? Find it in Joshua chapter 1 verse 8.

The Lord has made provision for our total success. If we depend on his word in absolute terms, it is gauranteed that we'll enjoy good days and live long.

Hidden Secrets Of Enduring Success

Getting up every morning hale and hearty is the grace of God. To have a strong body and a sound mind is a gift we must cherish which is God given. All the activities you can engage in depend on these two essential objects.

After my morning devotion today, I was privileged to read a passage of the scriptures which I want to share with you.
We all want to succeed and ready to pay the price to attain it. Some kill to make money. To them that is success. Others engage in dubious dealings as a means of achieving what they believe to be success. But true success cannot be separated from your relationship with God and your neighbour. It is both a vertical and horizontal relationship.
How then can we go about it? What is the hidden secret of success? Let us consider the wise words of the sage that guarantees success.

Hidden Secret One
'My son, forget not my law but let thine heart keep my commandments. That is the first vital secret of success. You should be ready to keep the commandments of God.
As you do that, the direct reward immediately follows-'for length of days and long life and peace, shall they add to thee. This is a free offer. Just obeying the commandments of God guarantees you long life and peace.

Hidden Secret Two
'Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them at the table of thine heart'. Simple. Isn't it? Learn to be merciful so that you can receive mercy. Say the truth always and be committed to it. Make deceit and lies your sworn enemies. By so doing, you will find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Hidden Secret Three
'Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Your confindence in God and his divine power should be solid. He that trust in God cannot be put to shame. Show humility and dependence on God by not leaning on your own understanding. Seek his face on issues concerning your life. It will help you in taking sound and godly decisions all the days of your life.

Hidden Secret Four
'In all thine ways acknowledge him, and he shall dircet they paths. He has promised to lead you in the way you should go and guide you in the path you should follow. If you allow him, he will give you divine guidance that never fail. You can never miss it. Angels will work for you. Heavenly hosts will support you and your success shall be guaranteed.

Hidden Secret Five
'Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil'. You cannot think that you are the only wise man and except to succeed genuinely. You need divine wisdom that comes from the mind of God. You should discover this on the pages of the scriptures. Fear the Lord not man. You will be free from the snare of man and the devil. You shall be free from oppression and affliction shall not come near you. Fear of God empowers you to depart from evil and its appearances. Doing that adds marrow to your navel and marrow to your bones. Is that not wonderful?

Hidden Secret Six
'Honour the Lord with your substance and with the firstfruits of your increase'. This point addresses the necessity of giving to God. Your money and abilities belong to God your maker. Honour him with these and you shall experience plenty and never lack. This is the divine key to true prosperity.

These 6 secrets are the principles to be immediately adopted for an enduring success. Shalom

Be Responsible In His Vineyard

And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
The divine plan of God for us is to be busy for him. Look at the fellowship or worship centre where you belong. Are you just warming the bench or being occupied promoting the work of God and supporting your ministers? Don't be idle. It is your duty as a child of God to be involved in his work. You can join the choir if you have the gift of singing. Ushers are needed in the church, prayer warriors are increasingly on demand. Take a decision now and get involved. Going to church only on sundays is not enough neither would it profit you as a child of God.
You can also lend an helping hand in the visitation or welfare unit. Learn to tend and keep the vineyard of God in unity with the brethren. It shall be well with you.
