Jesus Cares

It may be an issue of disappointment, sickness or loss of a loved one. When you are dejected, bitter and less motivated for positive things, just remember that Jesus cares.
The family of Lazarus were so close to Jesus in His days on earth. Talk about being happy when the master was around. Talk about the dinner table shared together with the Son of God. They cherished those moments. They never thought any evil could befall them. They knew Christ had the power to do all things. They have had about all the miracles He performed and were happy to be a family friend of such a great and annointed one.
Tragedy struck. Message was sent to Jesus about the illness of His dear friend Lazarus but He never made time to see him so that he could be healed of his sickness. Lazarus eventually died.
How that family felt was graphically demonstrated by the emotion of one of the sisters of the dead. She retorted ' if you have been around, my brother shouldn't have died'. She never thought about the power of Christ to raise her dead brother from the grave. That was what Jesus did right but not until He identified with the bereavement of the family. 'Jesus wept'.
How could God have wept because of ordinary mortal man? Perhaps because He understands our emotion and grief. He wants to be closer to us. How better our lives would be if we remember this always that Jesus cares for us.
Yes. He cares for you. He is ever around to solve your problems if you will only believe. Let this moment bring about a new wave in your thinking. Know for sure that Jesus cares for you. Even if you are lost in sin. He died for that reason so you can be forgiven after repentance and be made a child of God. If you'll take your time to talk to the Lord today, you'll find He has been waiting for you.

P.S.: Text John 11:25-37
