'Thou shalt keep therefore his stattutes, and his commandments, which i commonad thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee forever'.
Moses gave the warning and encouragement above to the Israelites as he was about concluding his ministry. The people of God needed be reminded of their responsibilities to Him so as to walk in His ways. The message of Moses was for the wise. The wise will consider the mind of God. The foolish will ignore it.
If you are wise, consider this warning for your good. Warning is given in our best interest.
It is in our best interest to keep the statutes of God. It is in our best interest to obey His commandments. The reward is for us and our children after us. Long life is another direct benefit of keeping the Lord's commandments.
Think of the happiness you'll enjoy in your life, family and relationships just by taking heed to this scripture. It is well.
