How can we identify the source of the gifts we have? Some have gifts that add value to the society and promote good neighbourliness. Others use their gifts to torment and harm others.
Where did you get your own gift from? Good gifts are used for positive purposes and they are from God. 'Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning'.
What will God's gifts empower you to accomplish? 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance..'
Think about it. Is it not good to show love to others? Everbody wants to be loved. It is a good gift and it is God's gift. Certainly, you want peace more than conflict. You want a peaceful marriage. You want to live peaceably with your colleagues in the place of work. Not everybody can give that to you.
God gave us peace through Christ. With Him, the peace of God and peace with God is guaranteed. It is a good gift and it is God's gift.
Now that you know what these gifts are, what are you to do? Covet them and ask God to bless you with them. They will turn you into a wise man. 'If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him'.

Great post about giftings! Indeed it is true all perfect and good, just these kind of gifts come from God. When we accepted the Lord Jesus, these gifts had been planmted in each one of us. not all but what is necessary to edify one's self and the people around you and most especially to glorify God above all!
Thanks mike. You are right. We should surrender our gifts to God so that He can use it to ransform other people's lives. That is how to brighten our corner.
