Pass It To Others

I bless the name of the Lord for the opportunity given to me to write these few lines to you in this medium today.
Surely, in Him we live and move and have our being. Without Him, we can do nothing. Praise be to His holy name.
Our message this day is to reflect on the need to train others in the values of the gospel truth we believe in. It is not enough to claim that we know God. What about our children? What about our brethren and followers? Do they know God and faithful to him as we are? Is the light of the gospel shining through them too?
Abraham had this testimony from God that he would teach his children the Lord's precepts. No wonder Isaac understood his father's language when he was told that he would be used for the sacrifice as demanded by God. He never resisted his father though an adult.
Your faith must be shared with your children at home. Your generation after you should not be religious bigots. They too must carry on the banner of truth to brighten the world. Teaching our children about the gospel and godliness is a necessity. It is not optional if we want to live in peace. The Lord's command is 'And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by teh way, when thou liest down and whne thou risest up'.
As a pastor, your spiritual children should be well trained to believe in God and share your values. Hear what Paul told timothy about this. 'And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also'. There should be continuity in faith, loyalty and trust in God. Pass it to others.
