David one day in his closet remembered how the Lord found him and set him apart from his sibblings. No. He was not supposed to be King by seniority in the family of Jesse. He was the most junior of all. But God never deal with men based on seniority. He deals with us based on his mercy and our relationship with him.
This act of God was an impossibility by human calculation and thinking. God did it anyway. From that obscurity, David rose to prominence and powerful position. His authority was final as a King. Anytime he thought of his lowly background, he appreciated more the precious thoughts of God. In one of his Psalms, he wrote 'How pecious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
The thoughts of God cover every area of our lives. Our own thoughts has limits but the thoughts of God are extraordinary. If you buy into the thoughts of God and adopt them into your daily thoughts, you will experience the fullness of life He promised those who trust in Him. 'Fear not for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded for thou shalt not be put to shame'. Can you see how precious that one is?
Here is another one. 'Thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee'. What about this one? 'For ye shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace'.
But your own thoughts are contrary to these ones. Satan suggests to you that you will not have peace. He tells you that you will die prematurely. He emphasized that you cannot succeed that you cannot make it in life. He prompts you to commit suicide since your life is meaningless. There is good news for you today. I bring to you the message of peace. The Lord says of you 'Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended'.

Oh how I enjoyed your short but so true posting this morning. Matt 6: 6 encourages us to have a "prayer closet" and upon discovering this passage of scripture I now have a literal prayer closet that I can shut the door to. Your posting was in so timely for me. Thank you Father for the leading of the Holy Ghost. May God's blessing continue to flow to you what greater blessing that Mercy and Grace! What more is there...everything else for our lives falls within the boundaries of the beginning of Mercy and the ending of Grace....HE is perpetual therefore His Mercy and Grace are perpetual .. they cease not ...even in our punishments he is still Mercy and gracious.
