Know It, Store It, Show It, Sow It

The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. The power in it is unlimited. Through it we know that God sent His only begotten son that whosoever believe in Him
Should not perish but have everlasting life. Those in darkness receive light. The fool receive wisdom while the weak receive strength through it.
The Bible is the way to true freedom. Through it we know that ‘ if the son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed’.The question is do you really take time to study it to profit from its doctrine, correction, reproof and divine instruction? In some clime, it is forbidden to own the Bible but that cannot be an excuse for you.
For your benefit, here are the 4 time-tested, proven and best way to profit from the Bible:

1. Know It: This is your own responsibility. You should desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby. It is vital for you to give time to reading it so that you will derive the wisdom greater than those of your teachers, elders and enemies. When you know it, you will be well positioned to do it. But how can you do it?
2. Store It: Yes. You must store the word of God in your heart. Many issues of life battle in your heart to divert your attention from things that really matter for eternity. Like the psalmist, you should be able to say ‘ Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee’. Can you see something significant in that scripture? It says, ‘That I might not sin against thee’. Your sure bet against sin is to keep God’s word in your heart. Don’t shy away from this necessity. As you store it in your heart, you’ll begin to move to the next level.
3. Show It: Your character is determined by what you do daily. For you to build a godly character, you must act on the word of God in your heart. This is important for you to receive full blessings from God. Christ says ‘Not all that call me Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven but they that do the will of God’. When you act on the word of God, it shows you have faith in God. This is a testimony to your obedience. Obedience in a direct link to your blessings. As you take steps to act on God’s word, you make yourself ready to be a blessing to others.
4. Sow It: The transformation God’s word had impacted on you is worth sharing with others. This is the first vital step to your ever present JOY (Jesus-Others-You). Sowing into others lives is a testimony of your readiness to serve and be a source of blessing to others. You become programmed for greatness. Christ says ‘ If any one among you want to be great, he should be the servant of all.’ As you serve others, you are sowing into their lives. Don’t forget that your harvest with depend on the quantity and quality of what you sow.
