'Then the disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshiped him: but some doubted'.
Is it true that the master actually rose again. Is it true that he is the real picture before me? Some of the disciples who doubted could have probably being thinking along that line.
It is difficult to believe that he has risen. They saw the way he was maltreated and crucified some days before they met him again on the mountain he appointed. How come?
The tomb was sealed with stone. Who must have removed it and with what power? The thought could be overwhelming.
We too sometimes doubt the power of God and his ability to transform our situation as a result of our recent past experiences. Even if he still move on our behalf extraordinarily, we still find ourselves doubting him.
They saw. They worshiped but they doubted. Are you among those who still go to church to worship God but yet doubt him? He only fulfilled his earlier promise to them before his cruxifiction.
Whatever he promised, he will do. We have the responsibility to belief so as to reap the fruit of our labour.
