Do you have any major purpose in life you want to achieve? Consider using the power of restraint to get on without distraction.
The story of the temptation of Jesus aptly illustrate this principle. 'And the devil said unto him, if thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread'.
Jesus truely had the power to turn stones into bread but how can that contribute to achieving his life purpose? Satan brougth the suggestion to promote self glory and not the glory of God. Jesus restrained himself and chose rather to concentrate on doing the will of God. He needed to move to give the people sermon on the mount. That was the immediate assignment God gave him not miracle. The time of teaching is different from the time of miracle.
Your gift cannot be used aimlessly. Reject all distrations to promote self glory. Restrain yourself from any activity that will diminish your ministry. Jesus retrained himself and conquered the devil.
Use this power to overcome temptations and frivolities.
