Do All To The Glory Of God

We could decide to be estremely self-centered as christians. But that is not God's perfect will for us. He wants us to subdue our self interest as we grow in faith and serve others more and more. We should consider others first in things we do.
The Corinthian church found that difficult to do. They were full of themselves and sin reigned. Even the ordinary activity of eating and drinking led to a great conflict amidst the church.
How can the conflict be resolved? That was the challenge Apostle Paul had. God gave him the solution through His Holy Spirit.
Whether we eat or drink, let us do all things to the glory of God. If eating a particular food will not glorify God in your life, do not eat it. If drinking a particular brand will not glorify God in your life, do not drink it. This is for the sake of others watching you. You are the Bible people watch. They don't know God or Christ you serve but they know you. Let the love of Christ be reflected in you as you consider the interest of others. This is a task we must pray to accomplish.

The Loving Kindness Of God

David never dreamt of becoming King in Israel. He was just a teenager caring for the flocks of his father's sheep. He was the last in the family but the most responsible and godly. His closeness with God soon attracted divine favour which positioned him for consideration as future king.
His courage at the battle field against Goliath the Philistinian giant greatly exposed him to envie by king Saul. He did everything to eliminate David. David was a guest to unfavourable conditions in the wilderness but God preserved him and divinely protected him.
It was his experience of God's loving kindness that made him to exclaim in Psalm 63 vs 3 that the loving kindness of God is better than life.
Do you know that life is meaningless without the loving kindness of God? When God show you His loving favour, that is a manifestation of His loving kindness.
Think of those terrible situations where God has divinely intervened on your behalf. It is a reflection of His loving Kindness. Deliverance from the hands of the wicked is His loving kindness. Why can't you provoke your lips to praise God for His loving kindness in the past and the ones He will still do in the present and future.

Your Faith, Your Future, Your Life

Faith is the evidence of things not seen and the assurance of things hoped for.
What kind of message did Abram receive? He was asked to leave his country, his people, his job and his friends. That must be a strange voice! But not to Abram. He was certain of the voice he heard. It must be a supreme being talking. He never queried God. He just obeyed. He prepared, packed his luggage and there he went to a land he never knew before. Talk about leaving certainty for uncertainty. Only few people could do that because it's illogical.
Faith goes beyond logic. It swims against the tide. It specializes in things not seen.
The faith of Abram attracted God's favour and trust. He was immediately promoted and assumed an extraordinary status. He was given a great name.
Your future spiritual health and status will depend on your level of faith. Learn to obey what God ask you to do at any point in time. This baby step will lead to great future for you. What you see by faith today will be your future reality.
Don't forget that your senses are not perfect. They are deceptive. God is perfect. He knows all things. When you patner with Him in faith, you assume an extraordinay status which guarantees peak performance.
You will be victorius by faith. You'll receive your healing and answer to prayers by faith. Without faith, no man can receive anything from God. I know you desire to receive many things from God. Launch out in faith to tap from divine resources. Your future depends on it.

Jesus Cares

It may be an issue of disappointment, sickness or loss of a loved one. When you are dejected, bitter and less motivated for positive things, just remember that Jesus cares.
The family of Lazarus were so close to Jesus in His days on earth. Talk about being happy when the master was around. Talk about the dinner table shared together with the Son of God. They cherished those moments. They never thought any evil could befall them. They knew Christ had the power to do all things. They have had about all the miracles He performed and were happy to be a family friend of such a great and annointed one.
Tragedy struck. Message was sent to Jesus about the illness of His dear friend Lazarus but He never made time to see him so that he could be healed of his sickness. Lazarus eventually died.
How that family felt was graphically demonstrated by the emotion of one of the sisters of the dead. She retorted ' if you have been around, my brother shouldn't have died'. She never thought about the power of Christ to raise her dead brother from the grave. That was what Jesus did right but not until He identified with the bereavement of the family. 'Jesus wept'.
How could God have wept because of ordinary mortal man? Perhaps because He understands our emotion and grief. He wants to be closer to us. How better our lives would be if we remember this always that Jesus cares for us.
Yes. He cares for you. He is ever around to solve your problems if you will only believe. Let this moment bring about a new wave in your thinking. Know for sure that Jesus cares for you. Even if you are lost in sin. He died for that reason so you can be forgiven after repentance and be made a child of God. If you'll take your time to talk to the Lord today, you'll find He has been waiting for you.
