Back to our question. How can we be really happy?
There are three divine steps to true happiness:
1. Vote for righteousness: Personal and national righteousness is vital for individual and corporate happiness. Our lives and nations will be better if we hunger after and walk in righteousness.
2. Show Mercy: The way you show mercy to others will come back to apply to you. Sow mercy into the lives of people around you. It will ensure no door of mercy is locked against you.
3. Be Holy: God is holy. He commands his children to be holy. Holiness in heart and conduct is a must if we want to be happy. Holiness is the key to lasting happiness. ‘But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation’ (1 Pet. 1:15)
For a reminder, friend, Righteousness, Mercy and Holiness are the three unbroken cords for lasting happiness.
