God's plan for his people is not to remain in the wilderness for long. A Canaan land has been promised. Yet His people must obey Him and follow the instructions given to reach the promised land.
The clarion call to you today is to be ready for the coming of the Lord. It will come as a thief in the night. It will happen unannounced. Where will you be when it would happen? In the church worshipping God or in the room praying? Oh how I wish He finds you doing such. Would He meet you cursing or in ungodly anger? Would He meet you preaching the gospel of peace or bringing shame to His Holy name through your hypocritical deeds?
Where would you be when the trumpet shall sound, where will you be when it sounds so loud, when it sounds so loud as to wake up the dead; where will you be when it sounds? You are the only one who could answer that question.
God has promised a rest for His people but those who walk in there own ways will not reach the promised rest. 'Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it]. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.'
