God’s Will: Your Best Environment To Be Free

The bird is very free in the air but the moment you capture it and keep in another environment, the freedom is withdrawn. For the bird, the air is the environment for freedom.
The Lion and other wild animals are very free in the forest. Keeping them in the zoo will not grant the freedom they have in the forest. So also is the fish. The best environment for it is the water.
You as a child of God have a lot to learn from this. The will of God is the best environment for a child of God to thrive and be truly free.

The Beginning Of True Freedom
‘If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:36) No one can be free from sin without the atonement by the blood of Jesus. Once you accept Christ as Lord and Saviour, you become free from the bondage of sin. But you must maintain and exert that freedom so as not to go back to bondage.
As you strive daily to do the will of God in all the areas of your life, your freedom blossoms and your spiritual power is exercised.
The devil will not be at home while you exercise your freedom so he entices you and lure you into sin. You must reject his advances because he is a thief. ‘The thief cometh not but for to steal and kill and destroy’ (John 10:10 ). You must steadfastly resist him so that you could continue in your freedom and doing God’s will.

A Crack In The Wall
Sin will create a crack in the wall. It opens the door for the enemy to usurp your right to freedom and cause God to turn His back on you.
It happened in the days of Balaam the prophet. He was recruited by king Balak of Moab to curse the children of Israel. That would not happen because they were doing the will of God. The plot did not succeed because they were blessed. ‘And God said unto Balaam, thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed’ (Num. 22:12)Israel soon lost that priviledge when she went into idol worship and immorality. ‘And Israel abode in Shitim and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. And they called the people to the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor and the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel. (Num 25:1-3).It was a fatal decision. Their freedom to life was cut short as 24 thousand souls perished in a single day.
Sudden death, destruction and captivity are the result of walking away from the will of God. Once sin comes in, calamity will follow. There will no more be room for freedom. God will withdraw his defense and allow the enemy to pursue the recalcitrant child. ‘Israel has cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. (Hos. 8:3)There is no other way to maintain your freedom in Christ but through the will of God. The will of God gives you confidence, grace and power. With it, you can fight any battle and win. The heavenly host will be mobilized to defend you. Stay in the will of God. It is the best way to be free.

Great word! Love the analogy used. Certainly the best and safest place to be is the will of God.

Wanda, thanks for taking time to post a comment. It's really appreciated.
Continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart and rely not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path.
