What Kind Of Pastor Are You?

In the days of Jeremiah, there emerged  a group of Pastors and Prophets who acted contrary to the commandments of God. They habitually refused divine instruction. Is it not the same thing we are experiencing today?

Special mention should be made about the obstinacy of the so called ministers of God and their Practices.

'Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people, ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord' (Jer. 23:2)

Have You Scattered God's Flock?

Because of their sins, they lost the confidence of the people.  They couldn't be trusted any longer. The people who should be feeding them with spiritual meals had derailed seeking after the  things of the world. Are you like that? What sin have you entangled yourself recently? This is time to repent. Re-connect with God so that you could be restored.

When Last Did You Visit Members Of Your Congregation?

Even if you are not a Pastor, you should still make it a point of duty to visit the brethren. It could be the avenue to strengthen the weak and reinforce the faith of those who are strong. Visitation could save lives and protect the soul of the doubter through the word of God. It is during the time of visitation you can know the problem people are facing thereby standing in good chance to help them out.

The pastors in the days of Jeremiah refused to visit the brethren. Their attitude made God to be unhappy.

Remember that you will give account of those in your care. Take urgent steps to do what is right and what the Lord require of thee. Seek judgement, love mercy. Do the work of an evangelist. Be instant in season and out of season.  Divide the word rightly and make sure you are not like the Pharisee who taught people what they'll never do.
